Arome – a studio playground inspired by Rome with no cherished outcomes. Arome wasn’t commissioned. It wasn’t briefed. It wasn’t even planned. It emerged from our designer's weekend in Italy – inspired by citrus air, cobblestone streets, and the simple need to create without cherished outcomes.

Strategy

No client. No deadline. No brief. Just play – and the irresistible urge to create something that smells like summer in Italy. Done without overthinking – for the first time.

Every so often, we let ourselves build without permission. Arome began as a sensory exploration – what would a scent look like if translated into a brand? Inspired by sunlit Rome, fresh citrus, and effortless indulgence, we treated this project as a creative playground. No commercial pressure. No constraints. Just curiosity guiding direction. The strategy, if you can call it that, was total freedom.

Execution

If scent could be seen, we wanted it to feel citrusy, fresh, and impossibly light – like peeling a lemon in Rome with sunlight pouring over cobblestones.

Visually, Arome captures the feeling of citrus zest in warm air, but slightly unreal. The fruits were AI-generated and carefully treated – not real species, yet instantly recognisable and almost smellable. Familiar yet dreamlike. Soft gradients evoke sunlit freshness, while fluid forms suggest aroma drifting through space. The palette leans bright and clean – lemon, cream, Mediterranean warmth. We explored how the identity translates across packaging, posters, and printed matter – testing its versatility.

Outcome and Credits

The outcome? Letting creativity move through us – without agenda, without permission, without needing a reason.

Arome wasn’t built for strategy decks or market validation. It emerged because the idea wanted to exist. Sometimes creativity isn’t driven by purpose – it flows through you, and your only job is to give it form. No client. No KPI. No justification. Just instinct meeting execution. Maybe it becomes something. Maybe it doesn’t. But in that moment, we weren’t building a brand. We were simply the instrument creativity chose to play.
